One Team, One Heart
Meet my FYP team, whereby we're a group of individuals with unique strengths and complementary skill sets, working together to make our project possible.
From planning, to production and problem-solving, each of us played our roles in shaping the success of our FYP project!
My role was the scriptwriter, sound recordist and editor.
Our Final Year Project (FYP) was done in collaboration with our client, Zenway Productions, focusing on promoting the campus edition of the Electronic Super Cup (ESC) at Republic Polytechnic in January 2026. From October 2025 to January 2026, we had to produce a 3-part series of story-driven videos featuring a day in the life of gamers at different stages of their E-Sports journey, as well as creating promotional social media posts.
Our first video in our 3-part series video whereby we feature our two amateur players — Xylon & Gladys (yes, that's me).
Both are students at Republic Polytechnic (RP), but are involved in gaming in different ways. Xylon is part of the E-Sports Interest Group (IG), while Gladys streams as a hobby.
In this video, we will see how the two of them balance studying and gaming.

Next, our second video showcases two different semi-professional gamers; a VALORANT coach and a Tekken 8 player.
Justin, a former E-Sports competitor, now coaches and manages his team while working full-time.
And Chin Zi, driven by his passion for Tekken 8, trains actively, competes in tournaments and balances his gaming career while having an internship.

Lastly, our third video features two individuals in the E-Sports field: a professional VALORANT player and a MLBB coach.
Sha, who previously competed in CS:GO, transitioned to VALORANT to pursue greater competitive opportunities.
And Daryl, who was close to becoming a professional player, chose to take on the coaching role in 2021 after being given the opportunity to lead an MLBB team.
This video highlights the different career paths within the E-Sports scene and the decisions behind them.

This carousel post introduces the Electronic Super Cup (ESC), and it highlights the event's campaign to foster an inclusive 'IRL' competitive environment where players of all skill levels can join and connect.
Central to this campaign is also the announcement of a "Day in a Life" vlog series, which follows six individuals to provide a behind-the-scenes look at the realities in the E-Sports industry.

The second carousel post serves as a teaser and reveal for one of the professional players that's being featured. We decided to go for an interactive "guess the player" concept to engage with our audience.

Our team decided to create a short teaser of all the long-form videos (this is just one of it), before publishing the full video on YouTube.

Once the video teasers are up, the long-form videos will be posted a day after, and then along with the full video release posts to announce that the video is up on YouTube.
Our graphic designer, Iffah, decided to design the posts in a goofy and whimsical way to engage with our viewers!
